The Secretariat of Distance Education of UFRN has open enrollments, from April 1 to 7, 2019, for the selection of undergraduate students from UFRN to act as trainees in the project Formative processes aimed at the qualification of the members of the Public Ministry of the RN, better known as “Formar MP”.
The opportunities are for the areas of Design and Social Communication with qualification in Audiovisual and Social Communication with qualification in Journalism. The students can be enrolled in the 7th period and, to register, they should access the site <www.sedis.ufrn.br/selecoes/>, presenting course history, portfolio (in PDF format, it may contain links to digital material ) and curriculum vitae / lattes simplified and proven.

What has already become a tradition is back to the academic calendar of the students of the EaD Chemistry Course of the Caicó, Currais Novos, Macau and Nova Cruz poles. This is the 8th Edition of the Complementary Training Program of Chemistry at Distance of the Federal University of Rio Grande do Norte (UFRN). The activities will be held during two weekends this month.
On March 15, 16 and 23, 2019, the Currais Novos, Caicó, Macau and Nova Cruz poles will receive a series of mini-courses with varied themes, such as Chemistry teaching, the National Curricular Common Core, gamification in the teaching and learning, a practical view of astronomy and the generation of energy in nature.
As well as other editions already held, in addition to chemistry students in the distance modality, they will be able to participate in the mini-courses of elementary and secondary education in Chemistry, Physics, Biology, Mathematics and Natural Sciences, as well as high school students and undergraduate degrees.
The inscriptions will be held at the poles of face-to-face support until the date of each event. At the time of registration, interested parties must donate 1 kilogram of non-perishable food. All that is collected will be distributed in the poorer regions near the poles.

SEDIS is on the route of actions to combat Aedes aegypti at the Federal University of Rio Grande do Norte (UFRN). On Friday (01), representatives of the Board of Health Care of the Server (DAS / Progesp), the School of Health of UFRN (ESUFRN) and the Municipal Health Department of Natal (SMS) held a morning of awareness with the employees of SEDIS.
The initiative is part of a campaign that, in addition to awareness activities, will carry out inspections at university buildings to detect outbreaks of mosquitoes that transmit dengue, Zika and chikungunya. According to data from the State Department of Public Health (SESAP), in the first 45 days of 2019, 1,092 cases of dengue were reported, of which 246 were confirmed, with 12 others being chikungunya.
SESAP indicated a risk of dengue epidemics in 161 of the 167 municipalities of Potiguares. Therefore, there is a need for this collective warning and individual awareness. In this context, SEDIS employees were able to ask questions about the work of the endemic agents and about the main preventive measures that can be taken, both in the workplace and in their homes.
Employees were instructed to avoid accumulating water in containers, be careful with the correct disposal of garbage and to clean the trays of the drinkers and the refrigerator. A group of professionals from the Accessibility Sector of SEDIS and the Permanent Commission to Support Students with Special Educational Needs (CAENE) has been conducting, since last week, a series of pedagogic visits to the in-person support centers where courses are offered superior to distance.
The main objective of the visit is to know how the students of the Federal University of Rio Grande do Norte (UFRN) have special educational needs, and if they are receiving adapted pedagogical material in the necessary conditions and quantity. This is also a way to get a closer look at the reality experienced by these students.
In the route of the entourage, students are attended by the poles of Currais Novos, Marcelino Vieira, Martins and Luís Gomes. Some were visited in cities near these poles, because of the difficulty of displacement. The professionals will also visit the pole of New Cross, on date to be confirmed.
